About the Journal

The European Yearbook of Law and Religion (EYLR) is an international academic journal that is published under the auspices of the European Consortium for Church and State Research. It promotes the study of the legal aspects of religion in Council of Europe countries. The Yearbook focuses on legislative/case-law developments in national level, as well as EU/ECHR. The Yearbook encourages comparative perspectives, as well as interdisciplinary research and aims to present original scholarship of church-state relations, religious freedom, religious pluralism, and wider questions on law and religion. It is published in English and is available online through an open-access platform. The first section of the journal includes academic contributions and country reports, while the second section hosts case comments, research notes and book reviews.
